Instead of having this system made up of organs like the other systems. The Endocrine System is made up of various glands, which leads to what the system's job is. The main function is to release hormones to the body which aids with other processes we go through as well. This includes the development of growth, tissue function, reproduction, how you sleep and your mood swings, and metabolism. The common glands are: pineal glands, hypothalamus, pituitary gland, thyroid gland, thymus gland, pancreas, adrenal glands, testes (male) and ovaries (female).
